OK David, stay in touch. Let me know how it works out. I have not tested your tracker but I like your website. Let me know if you get some good traffic from this page.

@Dave I have not tried this Logan yet--I think there is a store nearby that has one on display. I hear what you're saying about a "hobby level" cutter--I'll give it a closer look--but from what I can gather this is Logan's latest and greatest 60" mat cutter (besides their smaller aluminum model) and it looks very much like the Fletcher cutters I've used.

I've sold approx $100,000 in custom designs (and framed 10x that many orders) to give you an idea of my experience. Never had a customer ask me for a v-groove. I don't like the look of v-groove cuts either. I can't imagine why this wouldn't cut multiple openings, drop cuts, reverse bevels all day long. Not enough space here to explain my design philosophy.

While using Fletcher cutters I never needed anything beyond the basic mechanical stops--those won't sway my decision either. I've worked with framers from all over the US and none of them used these "bonus" attachments either--they end up collecting dust in a drawer. So I'm definitely not looking for extra measurement/stop attachments. What I do want for sure is 60" capacity, the ability to cut 8-ply mats now and then, really the basics.

I don't see any shortcomings here in terms of what designs I can sell and market demand. But I definitely want solid, sturdy, smooth craftsmanship that won't wobble or hook corners. Fletcher seems to have a really great following but I'm not spending thousands of dollars for features I don't need.

Well you realize the Logan is really not much more than a hobby level matcutter, right? Chances are they're already sourcing the parts to China for five bucks.

Also, maybe the lines were drawn so heavy so that they would show up on camera well?

http://trackertoys.com
- This is another free myspace profile tracker that is available. It does contain ads on it's site for the non-paying members, but go figure, the owner has to pay for the server somehow! lol. The altnerative cheap $10/yr eliminates the ads, and lets your "code" be invisible too, showing no small picture in your profile. Oh, and available to all members (free version too), you can have messages show up on your profile that Only the visitors you indicate, can view, anyone else just sees a random quote. Have fun and happy tracking!

Yeah, I built a working tracker. http://trackertoys.com
It does have the basic tracking as free. Paid trackers get the invisible tracking.
It will give you the standard IP and geolocation, among other points of fun, like showing a specific message on your page that only a targeted visitor will be only able to see.

Identifying people though is Partly up to you. I built it to share tracker identifications too, such that, someone who was identified by another trackertoys user, will see that hit with who the other user thought they were. So it's nice in allowing for a community effort in that respect.
